Brazos Mutual Funds

Our Mission

The mission of the Brazos Mutual Funds is to provide maximum capital appreciation, consistent with reasonable risk to principal, by investing in rapidly growing companies with earnings.

Philosophy

We believe the market is inefficient.  Our goal is to identify earnings growth in smaller capitalization companies before it is reflected in the stock price.

Process

We employ a fundamental research approach to investing, driven by intense company-specific research including on-site visits, interviews with management, customers, suppliers and competitors.  Through our focus on earnings growth we identify companies we believe have the most upside potential for growth.

Lipper determined the fund group award winners by averaging the decile rank of the three-year Consistent Return scores for all of the firm’s funds within the asset class, and the eligible group with the lowest average decile rank received the award for that asset class. In case of a tie, the group with the lower average percentile rank received the award. Small fund groups with at least three distinct equity portfolios that received Consistent Return scores as of December 31, 2007 were eligible for the Best Small Equity Fund Family group award. Stocks of micro cap and small cap companies are more volatile than stocks of larger cap companies.   Micro cap and small cap companies are subject to additional risk including, but not limited to, limited liquidity and greater volatility compared to investments in larger more-established equity securities.

Investment performance reflects voluntary fee waivers and expense reimbursements in effect. In the absence of such waivers and reimbursements, total return would be reduced. The longer term performance results presented for the Micro Cap, Small Cap and Growth Funds reflect periods of above average performance attributable in part to investments in certain securities during their initial public offering or other non-recurring factors. In particular, the returns for certain periods, such as 1997 and 1999 for Small Cap, 1998 and 1999 for Micro Cap, 2000 for Mid Cap and 1999 for Growth, reflect substantial benefits from first-day realized gain from participation in the initial public offerings. It is unlikely the Funds will benefit to the same extent from these types of gains in the future, especially if a Fund's assets remain at current levels or if they increase. Returns are shown net of fees. Stocks of micro cap, small cap and mid cap companies are more volatile than stocks of larger cap companies.  The performance for Class N and B shares will differ from the returns of Class Y due to differences in expenses and sales loads.

Class Y shares includes a management fee, and other expenses.  The performance of N shares will differ due to differences in expenses and sales charges.  For more information on the Fund, our share classes, risks, fees, expenses, and long term performance, you may download a prospectus.  We also invite you to download our Privacy Policy
