Brazos Capital began managing the Brazos Mutual Funds on December 31, 1996 in response to the demand to provide a means of investing with Brazos Capital at a lower minimum account size. The Brazos Mutual Funds: Micro Cap, Small Cap, Mid Cap, and Growth Funds are managed by the same team of investment professionals as the firm's separately managed accounts, and the same investment philosophy and process are used for the Funds. All four of the funds are dedicated to providing shareholders with maximum capital appreciation, consistent with reasonable risk to principal. Since its inception in 1996, Brazos has focused primarily on managing small-to-mid cap growth portfolios. The Adviser’s four founders established a cohesive team approach to portfolio management 13 years prior to the Funds’ inception. The average investment experience across the team now exceeds 19 years. This philosophy of managing portfolios as a cohesive team, with each participant being equally weighted and active in the decision making process, has been a fundamental part of Brazos Capital and the Brazos Funds. The Brazos Funds' primary objective of buying good companies operating good businesses, while simultaneously controlling the inherent volatility of smaller stocks through the disciplined use of risk management techniques and controls will not waiver.
